I think these guys watch Sequelitis.

They basically took everything that made a retro game perfect yet still make it feel unique. It feels like mega man and mimics a lot of the same mechanics but the level design and feel of the game is wonderful. Sure, its kinda of a clone but why fix what isnt broken? At the end of the day its a great game that Id recommend to anybody with a fetish for challenging, old school gaming.
